Blog ~ Retro 2011 ~ Draw a T-shirt with bleach

dibuja una camiseta con lejía

These draw on a t-shirt with bleach We’ll do it carefully, it is best to put on some latex gloves to avoid contact with skin.

We just need a fine brush and some bleach in a bowl.

1. Place and put the shirt stretched between the front and back something so that the liquid does not cross the fabric (I use a wooden board).

2. Now it is wet the brush in bleach and make the picture you want on the web. I have made a template of a heart but we can also draw pictures or write abstract phrases, words, etc

3. We waited a little to dry the area as the liquid spreads giving a blurred effect, if we stop and do not extend more, just give hot air dryer.

Do not remove the table inside the shirt until it has dried perfectly and that bleach can stain other areas of the shirt.

And that’s it! This trick can also do the boys, I’ve done one with the word “music” What happens is you get?

- I have only used on cotton, not in other tissues such as work

- I’ve seen you have questions about how the clothes we cut finish. I try to do things for which no sewing required and that idea so you can do all, that’s why I always pick that cotton and cut the edges curl just a little and does not fray, in fact sold T-shirts with the finish .

Blog ~ Retro 2011 ~ Decorate your clothing with nodes

Decora tu ropa con lacitos

This week we will continue to use the pieces of fabric that we go over previous shirts. It occurs to me to make a kind of easy to make bows, we are on the steps:

1. We cut a strip of cotton fabric, the length and width will depend on how big you want to give each loop.

2. Fold ends inward as shown, so that they match on the back.

3. We spent a needle and thread in zigzag, as in the photo, just by joining the two ends with the front.

4. Then throw everything we can to knit yarn fabric and get a loop, the tie and we’ve got it! (the part that would unite the ends back).

5. We can make several different sizes and decorate our clothes. Also add to the center button and play any place in different ways to get the ones you like best. So … to make nodes!

Blog ~ Retro 2011 ~ Exclusive t-shirt

Elabora una camiseta exclusiva

This week we will need two basic t but the result will be worth it :) I chose Zara.

A combination of orange and purple very fashionable this summer.

1. Choose one of the shirts and trim as in the photo.

I’ve driven a tank top, placing it several inches below the top of ours. The result is a shirt with suspenders too long.

2. We put our shirts and cropped on the second as in the photo and cut the outline exactly the same except on the straps that let the full length of the fabric.

3. Once the second shirt trimmed the overlap (the second one is shorter and the first outside inside) Interlace straps wound between them and do not undo a knot in each end. Then join the tie a knot and we have our top!

We can do the same idea with two long dresses, you can also add a tape with some shine and roll with strips on the sleeves I can think of many things! Do you?

Blog ~ Retro 2011 ~ Create and decorate accessories

Crea y decora complementos

This week we get a little more advantage to the idea of post “Goodbye sleeves, snap again.” Using the same form of elaborate detail, we can do many things with different materials and decorate our clothes and accessories. I am going to propose three and then it’s just a question of let the imagination fly a bit:)

1. To make a detail with a more sophisticated search I came up with a nice button with a pebble and do it instead of fabric with satin ribbon and a strip of lace. I sew in the same way we did with the finishing of the shirt (zig-zag over the edge and pull down until you screw up like a flower, then sew the button in the center) The truth is that is precious and we can used to decorate various items. I opted for sew a black velvet ribbon and use as a belt.

2. This time I have chosen two more narrow strips to make two equal and smaller details, also two buttons that simulate the shape of a diamond. The idea, once made, is hit or sew each one in the back of an earring clamp (those earrings that are used without a hole, sold loose beads stores) Also I can think of a more “home and sew a stationary clip and then attach it to the front of a shoe, dancer To customize shoes!

3. We could not miss a detail to the hair:) This time I sewed the tape to come out below leaving a piece of the wider, so that the screw comes out and take more like a flower. Instead of a button I have placed a wooden ball and I’ve sewn to the back, using the same thread I sewed the flower to a drapery cord y. ..Already have hair band!

Blog ~ Retro 2011 ~ Transform a T-shirt in less than 15 minutes

Transforma una camiseta en menos de 15 minutos

I chose a cotton striped shirt from Zara. We are on the steps:

1. We extend the T-shirt and cut as in the photo, from the armpit area to the side of the neck on the opposite side.

2. We make tiny cuts every 2cm across the top front and back, also around the sleeve. We had a zig-zag cord so that the ends end up going out to the outside then tie them together. The cord that I have chosen is green grass, I like the contrast with the blue and white. You can also try doing it with a ribbon or other type of cord, and the extent of this depends on the size of the shirt and the constitution of each.

3. Now we try on the shirt and pulled the ends of cord to fit snugly to the body, then tie each other by two bows y. That’s it!

The result is a completely different shirt, with a touch more summery and fresh. I‘ve combined with green shorts Zara:)

Blog ~ Retro 2011 ~ Do it yourself! Don’t throw anything!

Hazlo tú misma ¡No se tira nada!

Then let’s take one of the sleeves to make it easy and we can use for many things.

- First draw the outline on a piece of something that you like, I have made a heart.

- Slip and place it on the sleeve of the shirt folded in two, so that under the drawing paper has a total of four layers of fabric.

- We cut the fabric to be guided by the drawing.

- We separate the heart of four in total and on the other three (even together) sew some buttons (in stores around € 1 sell them in boxes of many colors, much cheaper than a haberdashery) through the needle three layers of fabric. I have placed at the edges and I have a different color and size to give a different touch. You can do a lot of things!

- Once the buttons sewn back and give a little glue to glue the quarter we had separate hearts and so we cover the seams of the back. When the glue dries you may find it is hard (not much to do them lest they break the web, with little sticks well).

- Our next piece of fabric that we cut part of the sleeve and cut a strip of what was formerly the side of the shirt (full length if possible).

- Cut another strip of the tiniest piece of cloth and sewing it doubled in two in one end of the heart as in the picture (so you do not see the seam in front separates the first heart and sew the rest just below), but you know you can try to stitch together the fourth heart paste when you join the other three (step 5).

- We had cut the strip and you’re done!

We use it as a pendant as a keychain, and detail to the handle of the bag Sew a button? is easy. My grandmother when she got angry with me because I could not do something told me You do not know or sew a button,” so it must be something fundamental and basic haha! And if you say a grandmother ….

I leave you a video where he explains it perfectly: http://www.practicopedia.com/como-coser-un-boton-482

  • alternatives:

Instead of buttons you can buy in stores beads and stones that come with holes for sewing or even with the rear flat stick (for those who do not wish to heed my grandmother: P), these stores are a world to discover !!!!!!
You can also put a chain or ribbon if you prefer a more elaborate necklace

Now I‘m going to do one of an anchor with the gold buttons with a navy blue sleeve that I have around and he put a cord sailor!

Blog ~ Retro 2011 ~ Goodbye Sleeve, Hello New Spindle

Adiós mangas, hola broche nuevo

This time I “sacrificed” a long-sleeved shirt. The truth is that my neck was so warped a little washing, but then he looked for a solution:)

I cut out the damaged part of the neck and sleeves just seam that joins the body part. How ever, we are on the steps:

1. De sleeve fabric we cut a strip, if you can not cut you please take the remains of another of the shirts we have done previously.

2. Once we have the strip of cloth, had a needle and thread in a zig-zag the edges and on reaching the final throw of the thread until the fabric to curl and make a flower shape.

3. Uniting the ends of the cloth strip to close the “flower”. Cut another strip of fabric closer and do the same. We combine the two (small on big) and sew a button center not see the hole and left more elaborate detail.

4. Depending on how you want to decorate the shirt can do one or more type brooch detail. I‘ve done two and give a different touch to one of them I have set as a base fabric of the piece that I still had another shirt, I also put a different button. You can do many things from this idea, do you urge?

Blog ~ Retro 2011 ~ Transform a T-shirt with just a pair of scissors!

CUSTOMIZANDO….¡Transforma una camiseta con tan solo unas tijeras!

For this shirt I dress inspired by Paul & Joe Sister’s in my post of the bicycle and also reminds me of those fringed shirts I bought my mother to go to the beach when I was small!

We can choose any basic shirt (preferably long) and just give that touch scissors Beach!

We removed the lower edge of the fold of the shirt and we cut vertical strips (length depends on how we like the size of the fringe) by the measure of my shirt I have calculated about 10cm.
For the left arrow plump curl and you just have to pull it down.

I also cut the sleeve into strips. The part of the arm completely because the court is very short little fabric and fringes are not well.

And we have our shirts to go to the beach:)

If you want to decorate it a little more we can put some trinket. I’ve broken a string of wooden beads that are no longer used and I put a fringe on each playing with different heights.

I love it! I think I’ll do some more so, because they teach you that!

Blog ~ Retro 2011 ~ A different touch

CUSTOMIZANDO….Un toque diferente

This is a small detail that we can do in any of our shirts.
I have chosen this zara (7.90 ) that came with the sleeves already cut and seamless.
As was so long I’ve cut a piece of down and I’ve also removed the strap from the neck that were all the edges with the same finish.

We cut a figure that we have previously drawn on a card (I chose a heart as always:))
The place on the shirt and with a pencil mark on the edge of the drawing separations of about 2 cm (the distance may be greater or less depending on the final result we want)
With sharp-pointed scissors pinch” the fabric to make a very very small cut along each of the marks of the drawing (not to cut the back of the shirt is better to have something hard between the two layers of fabric)
We can now choose from a haberdashery ribbon, a shoelace or something similar. We can also change it and make different combinations when we want, or combine two colors at once
We tape in zig-zag for minor cuts, bends tape when making address changes, so do the back so you do not see much.

The two ends of a bow tie making and you’re done!
I also took the piece of fabric that I cut the length to the shirt.
I cut into three strips and two strips of tape joined home and a gold shoelace (Nothing that is not in the famous Chinese business .. hehe) I have been doing a braid of hair left with a very cool band!
I put the long end flequitos to bring them to a wooden bead balls:)

Blog ~ Retro 2011 ~ Customize XL Dress (Lots of choices)

CUSTOMIZANDO….. UN VESTIDO XL….. MUCHOS VESTIDOS!

Do you know how many things you can do with a long cotton dress?
I explain my latest invention, I transform it happen many ways but I leave my favorites!
I bought this is H & M, I chose orange is the color for my star this season and I love the type of cotton, very thin for summer. Only € 14.90, size 40.

I cut about 15 cm of low (I always plenty) and after removing the piece I fold cut in two

The result is two strips of cotton, tie a knot with a purple ribbon that I bought from a haberdashery, I love this color combination is also very fashionable, if you want you can try a patterned or bright ribbon … what prefiráis!
(2 meters of tape, 2 aprox.)
I do a braid and back to finish with a knot

The braids can be used as a hair band, like a belt, as a pendant

And with that we have given a different touch to the dress

But we will continue transforming!

Cut the top of the dress like the picture

We folded the fabric inward from the top 5 cm or so (I frame with pins) and make small cuts separated by a few inches where we zigzag braid pulling the ends in knots by the front and tied with a loop.
Now we have a strapless dress!

But … we transforming!

Go back to cut other 15cm approx. the bass and do the same with the first piece (cut it in two and tie the ribbon) this time I‘ve joined the band a cord with some shine (also haberdashery) to give a different touch in braid cross it with the tape. The cord had been perfect green lawn but did not find: (
And we have another very cool braid!

And we can play with it a lot, and not only with our clothes but putting on jeans, shirts, long, ethnic pendant ….
I leave with some ideas!

An alternative to the braid is to use the low cut fabric as a scarf, many stores sell well, with this finish as simple and seamless!

This time there are no excuses girls, is very simple!

Blog ~ Retro 2011 ~ Customize a T-shirt

CUSTOMIZANDO… ¡UNA CAMISETA!

1. Extend the shirt and fold the edges inward as in the photo, with bell-shaped

2. We cut the folded and put a tank top on the fabric (it need not have exactly the shape of the mine depends on how you wish to) the end of the brace has to match below the original shirt collar, we cut it like the picture.

3. We cut the fabric on the cuffs as in the photo, leaving the same distance as we leave the rest of your shirt and that edge going to cut it into thin strips, I have been guided by the stripes of the shirt is smooth but if you can calculate about two cm with a ruler. If you look at the picture, at the end of the straps last strip is twice as for a thick, is to tie a knot at the end.

4. Once cut into strips around the edge (shown separately so that I have the vieseis well) and take off our shirts and fold baseline in two piece. We cut like the one pictured to shape the neckline. I’ve cut square but if you prefer simply cut round on top we had reference above or if you prefer in a “V”.

5. It’s starting to take shape! Now let’s join the two parts, we will go if tying the strips (those behind the front) with two nodes each, you will see that when you pull the cotton thread and be shaped fringe, except where the seam the edge of the shirt leaving the cut to form a small opening.

6. Now we have two options for the holes where the arms will put it:

A) nodes ranging from the underarm to cut up the back of the strip so that they are the nodes and the two flequitos strip in front and the back is straight. thus the fringes will tie in front. (sorry, I miss this picture, hope it’s not complicated)

B) (which is the option I have chosen me) cut the knot of the two braces, we will double a handful of fringe together by knots that we take to make a brooch, the decoration of a hair band …. but that we leave for another day hehe
We tied with a rope and straps to bind them ….
WE HAVE OUR ¡¡¡¡¡¡ T (TOP) !!!!!! (and small pieces of fabric for future things …)

Footnotes:

- If you don’t like you can try the fringes do 3 or 4 knots between strips it firmly and cut
- If you want the shirt is wider, do a mini-dress or you wear a large size I can think to do the same on the bottom of a long cotton dress with enough flight down so we will have more fabric.
- Don’t waste leftover pieces of fabric because you can do many things, and give you ideas!
- If a boy is encouraged it can do to your girl, mmm to see if I can think of something for you too! :)

I leave you a summary of details, I want to see these shirts!!GOOD LUCK!
